THT Assembly
There are only a few components that can be manufactured with pure SMT
technology in the high frequency technology sector. Connectors,
transformers or cables are cheap and can often only be made as
through-hole components using THT assembly.
Wave-soldering units only have disadvantages with a few through-hole
components, filigree structures and components with equipment on both
sides. So IK Elektronik manufactures products with wave-soldering units
as with several selective
soldering units. The preparation work for new production orders is
restricted to programming the automatic machines and making the
soldering frames. We offer low flat rates for this work.
The results look excellent and meet the high quality standards required
by our customers. If the lot size is small or if unusual components are
used, like antenna wires, the equipment is attached manually – often
using specially made gauges and aids.
Thorough tests are carried out subsequently to test the functions of
the mounted components using the appropriate inspection equipment for
the product or this work is carried out at a laboratory workstation if
the lot size is small.
